Our professionals are extensively experienced in management and interpretation of both, geological and engineering information, as well as in the immediate attention to the possible technical or interpretative difficulties that may occur; this guarantees our contribution and support to both the geologist and the engineer.
The Mudlogging Unit designed and built as a result of more than 25 years of experience, providing the environment and adequate space for the development of the work itself.

• Overpressure Package: This program graphs several values of Exponent “d”, such as series of points versus depth on a semilogarithmic scale
• Compressibility package: Calculates the overburden and Poisson coefficients (comprehensibility of the formation).
• Hydraulic Package: The following mathematical models are available: Power Law, Modified Power Law, Bingham, Modified Bingham, Alternative, Hughes, Power Law API.
• Swab and Surge: To calculate the maximum speed allowed during a trip to avoid pistoning effects.
• Bit Performance Package (bit performance): Analyze the costs per foot of each bit. Take into account effective drilling time and also total time.
• L.O.T Package: Monitor and display the graphics relevant to the Leak off testing.
• BHA Package: Produces reports of string configuration.
• Gas Package: It allows to see in graph format the values of the corrected and uncorrected gases.
The aforementioned parameters have their respective graphing charts.
Pore pressure calculation service:
The computerized data acquisition and storage system has the following methods:
Calculation of corrected exponent “D”, calculation of pore pressure, fracture pressure calculations, graph of mud out temperature, graph of gas trend including trip and connection gases; Gas ratios, Determination of shale density.
Drilling Data Analysis:
The computerized data acquisition and storage system has the ability to process and handle large amounts of data from drilling and other types. The software used is managed in both on-line and off-line mode, and allows the use of mathematical functions for the calculation of direct drilling parameters and some derivatives.
The system has a group of automatic alarms that must be activated to control stability parameters .
Metal shaving wear analysis:
This analysis allows determining metal shaving wear. It is made through measuring the metal fragments collected in the pocket of the shakers through of a magnet (with a magnet of 4 “X 3” X 30 “or similar, in each pocket of the shakers). These measurements are normally taken every 12 hours or less than intervals of time if the directional parameters so require, these data are stored in a computer and reported daily.
Torque monitoring and drag
Within the Software packages supplied by DATALOG COLOMBIA SAS, there is one that allows the calculation of the Overpull / Underpull and continuously monitors the torque produced in the drill string. For the analysis of vibrations we have a program whose main function is to calculate the Corrected Penetration Rat, which is the one that really is in the drill at the bottom of the well. This differs from that recorded on the surface due to some factors such as Young’s modulus of elasticity, the coefficient of elasticity of the steel, the geometry of the string, etc.
Detection and evaluation of vibrations
Detection and evaluation of vibrations in the drill string, to avoid operational incidents by taking timely technical decisions regarding changes in drilling parameters that prevent damage to the drill pipe, the BHA and damage to the equipment. surface.Alarms for each one of the parameters involved in the vibrations that allow in this way the immediate detection of the problem. The vibration information is stored and for later printing.
